Cape - Rock Jetty fishing
Last Thursday the guys from Chasin' Tails Outdoors had a great day of catching reds at the cape lookout rock jetty. Today (thursday) my neighbor and I fishing on his new 22' sundance decided to join Timmy and Bill fishing on the caroling rig carolina skiff at the jetty. We got there around 8 am and fished until mid afternoon without a single red to show for it. However we managed to put a couple dozen really nice size blues in the box.
Thanks to Bill and Timmy for allowing us to tag along. Thanks to Matt and the staff at Chasin' Tails Outdoors for all of the great info. and assistance. It was a great day on the water with an old friend and now some new friends.
the water temps were 59 to 61 at the jetty and in the area, so the spanish should be showing up real soon and we all know what follows the spanish.. I can't wait for both to show up.
