Wrightsville Beach----Found the Fish!!!

Had to work at it a while, but got on a good bite. In August, only those willing to work their butt off will find fish. Had 3 great folks aboard: Barry, Curtis, & Derrick. Hard Core Guys!!!!

Started at WR2. Don't know why, just haven't been there in a while. Nothing, Trolled Ballyhoo for about an hour, and 2 bite-off's with lost rigs right near the wreck. Cudas!!
Getting expensive here, so moved SSW about 10 miles, and found some floating stuff.

Great Dolphin bite in 115 feet from peanuts to gaffers. Limiteded out on them in no time. Also on the troll Barry caught a monster False Albacore, Derrick got more Gaffers, and Curtis got a nice King. I drove the boat!!

Pink BWC stuff can't be beat. All fish on top. 6 kts. Pink and White Islander way back worked good. Small Bionic Ballyhoo from Island Tackle worked great.

I hear ya John! Pretty work there! That mahi bite out there has been fun, had a few days of it like that last week. Fun had by all I'm sure.

Thanks, the only one I've caught so far was about 3x too big

looking rel good there, somebody was doing some fish cleaning after that, great job.
