HELP on January 24 at the Public Hearing in New Bern NC

We need your HELP on January 24 at the Public Hearing in New Bern... There usually are only 15 to 20 Fishermen that show up for these meetings. We need to flood the meetings. We need hundreds of Fishermen to show at this meeting. H&ll, even thousands would be nice. Because there are 2.7 million boats register from North Carolina/Virginia state line southward to the east coast of Florida and the Florida Keys. Still show up and supports us, even if you do not want to speak...

Its time to put a stop to this mess... Before we all end up fishing in a fresh water pond...

Please post up here if have room for fishermen to ride up with you or if you are going up and have room for them to ride. please post where you are leaving from too.

Thanks
Capt. Keith

The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council is holding a series of public
hearings and scoping meetings to provide the public with information on current
and future fi sheries issues for federally managed species under its jurisdiction,
and to receive public input and recommendations on these issues.
What is the difference between a public hearing and scoping meeting?
When the Council is considering the need for management, the scoping process
provides an opportunity for the public to make suggestions BEFORE the Council
makes any decisions regarding management actions. Using input received
during the initial scoping process, the Council may then develop management
alternatives to address these issues. These alternatives are then included in
a public hearing document. A series of public hearings is held and a written
comment period established for the public to provide input on these alternatives
and any additional recommendations.

Why should I attend?
Staff members and local Council representatives will be on hand throughout the
afternoon and early evening on the meeting day to answer your questions and
discuss concerns about topics listed on the front of this card. In addition, you will
have an opportunity to go on record to provide formal comments for the Council
to consider in future management decisions.

Meetings will be held from
3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Copies of public hearing and scoping documents will be available at
www.safmc.net
by January 12, 2011 or by contacting the Council offi ce at 843/ 571-4366 or
toll free 866/SAFMC-10. Can’t attend a meeting? Watch live video stream
of public comments as they occur. Follow the video link from the
Council’s website. Written comments may be submitted to the Council from
January 12, 2011 until 5:00 PM on February 14, 2011. Details on how to
submit written comments will be posted on the web site and included in the
public hearing and scoping documen
