30 lb caught today

I heard there was a 30 caught today about 4 miles off of the big 10 the guy also had several in the mid 20's

There are some big ones running with those schools of Spanish off Ft. Fisher.
I could tell ya a story, but nobody would believe it!!

Well I've been sitting here in front of this computer for hours on end waiting, just waiting and here it is 10:30 and still no word from midnight. I'll just have to check in bright and early tomorrow morning to see if there are any updates. Goodnight all.

True Story.
I was offshore with a full boat Sat. Country took his girlfriend Holly down to Ft. Fisher to spend the day on the beach. Nice size waves that day.

He was body surfing with his hands out in front to keep from hitting the bottom. Felt something hit his hand and he closed it on instinct.
Ended up grabing a 3 lb Spanish and was able to hang on and bring it to shore.

Holly said that she was watching, and a big school of Spanish went by jumping right over where he was body surfing.

I've caught em on live bait, dead bait, clarkspoons, yozuri's, etc., but never by hand.

There you go, believe it or not.

now that's a fish story for sure.
Another true fish story- I had a friend in the Marines, he was sent to Okannauwa. While there, he and a friend were walking along a cliff at the ocean when a sail fish came in very shallow chasing bait. My friend picked up a big rock and chunked it down at the sail fish actually breaking off much of the bill. The fish went nuts and beached itself. The two guys climbed down the cliff and grabbed the sail fish. I saw the pics on this one.

Well that gives a new meaning to surf fishing.

Man..This is one dangerous family is you are a fish, there just no getting away from them, two boats and now a Surf Board...
