MBI 8/16 ~ AM Sail Bite + Grouper

We started out in the slop sea to around the 23 mile area this morning about 7:30-8am and the bite was ON. We had 8 knockdowns today & 3 Sails hooked up but did not stay on. At one point all 3 of us in our crew had a rod in our hands, I think it was 1 Sail going from bait to bait, we couldn't tell which it wanted!! ha, We were so confused. =P

Naked ballyhoo was the bait choice + 1 on the squid chain. Bite shut off at 11:30 or so, didn't see any others hooking up around us anymore, boats started scattering, so we also headed out Grouper fishing.

100' mark, seas were calming & we drifted along and picked up 4 Red Grouper on squid pies. Got some more of the usual bottom fish too (white snapper, mingos, grunts...).

Sabikid up a lot of fresh bait for next time on the way home. One Man Overboard this trip (slipped & fell, but he's ok. lol). Beautiful, fun day all in all.

Holy hell, I'm beat!!
