The new guy

Hi All,

I am the new guy here. I live outside of Black Mountain NC and We fish around OIB. My son (15) is my fishin partner and I am going to enjoy every minute of that while it lasts.

Gery of Hunters Haven gave me this site link and it seems to be friendly here, things can get pretty aggressive at some of these other places. Takes the fun out of it for me.

We try to come down once a month but it is harder than it seems to be able to do that. Hoping to get a fishin shack soon. I just sold our 19' cc and we bought a 92 GW 232G and we are going to work on it this winter and bring it back down by March. It will give us some more room and have a head for the wife plus we can kicked around a little in that 19' in the afternoons sometimes.

So I will probably learn more than I can offer but I will to help on that end too.

Welcome 232G This is a great drama free board with a great bunch of people. Some real good fisherman also. Everyone on here will go out of there way to help in anyway possible. Enjoy

I am not sure if he would particpate in a jr. anglers forum. He will look over my shoulder at some threads and he gets a kick out of it when I post pictures of him with his fish.

We are trying to get down next weekend to pull this gw up here for the winter project and if I start a thread about that I know he would be keeping track of that. I don't know if any you guy's would be interested in that or not, also about the pictures since there would be a lot of them.

Welcome aboard. I used to go to Black Mountain every year for an FCA sports camp. Beautiful area. I'd be interested in your work on the Grady. Post up your progress. Like Eris said, you may get some ideas, but you'll definately get some opinions.

No don't worry about the clean part. I am not into the "bilge" stuff.

Ideas and opinions are good, it when the opinions start to get rude is when I get frustrated or worse. I will speak to anyone here the same as on the dock face to face, it is respect for each other.
Lot of people get the keyboard ego.

Which area would be best to start the thread ?
Hopefully Eastern Marine will deliver this week and we can come down this weekend and pull the boat back up. I need to call DM V tomorrow about the tag on a used trailer. I am sure I will get pulled with a 9' 3" beam.

what about in the boating part of the forum also pics have to be sized at 400 x 600 I believe

Thanks, my son and finally managed to get the boat up here and it is at my shop now. Now I need to make some room to fit it in.
