fishing report 8/14

WHew hoo boys.....Took our wives fishing today...hooked up north of the junkyard at CB. The double "c" fishing team caught a 2 ribbons, blu fish. a 17" flounder and a 23 1/3 inch flounder with an unofficial weght of 6.13 lbs...I will post pic's soon. Great day fishing...!

Way to go guys! Don't think I ever caught a ribbon before. I guess you save them for king bait? Congrats on the flounder.

Wow...That is one nice "Floor Mat"...

Yup...She went to TEX's Tackle this morning...Got her citation! Offical Weight..5.67 lbs---Certainly she took some overnight weight loss but either way...its a winner!

You got it Midnight....yup we took the wives. U never know...Amy spanked us on the fishing...All I caught was TOAD's that day. LOL!

Yup Mud Minnow...I didn't know that but it makes sense. You been catching any Tarpon? I'm hearing that some are being caught but dunno where.

They were catching the tarpon off the piers. My guess is you have a chance of hooking one while king fishing near the beaches. Never caught one myself though although I did hook a fish that was peeling alot of line near Topsail inlet and I caught a glimpse of it clear the water before it came unbuttoned .
